GROUP F BIOS

PHILIP AN

Philip An is 17 years old and will soon become a

senior in high school. Although he has been lazy

and unmotivated most of his life, for the 2

most recent years, with the help of his

mother, he has undergone a transformation

and progressively worked harder. Even

though he still finds it difficult to stay

focused and determined sometimes, in the

end, he still wants to succeed and will

continue to work hard to do so. His hobbies

include playing basketball, hanging out with

his friends, and recently sleeping. He listens to a wide variety of music, ranging from R&B to rap to K-Pop. His favorite K-Pop girl group is T-ara, and his favorite member of T-ara is So Hyun. Through this Korea Daily Leadership Camp, he hopes to learn how to become a great leader.

ANGELA PARK

Angela Park, more commonly known as Angie, is a 15 year

old Korean-American. She lives in Koreatown, Los Angeles

and attends a high school in Van Nuys. Within several

months, she will soon become a junior, which she is

very excited for. Her hobbies and interests include

spending time with her family and friends, binging on

Netflix, traveling to new places, and gunshooting. In

school, she is part of the JROTC, Junior Reserved Officers Training Corps. JROTC allowed her to make

new friends, which she now call her family, and made

her experience new things. For example, she learned

to be disciplined and how to become a leader. Her high

school experience has been great and hopefully will continue to be amazing. Through Korea Daily Leadership Camp, she will become a better leader and communicator.

THOMAS LEE

Thomas Lee is currently 14 years old. This upcoming year, he will be attending Kennedy High School as a sophomore.

Born  in LA, he really loves the city and it's very

rushed atmosphere. Some things he enjoys

include books, games, and photography. He is an

only child and stays naturally bored. When he

has an opportunity for some free time, he eats out

or just chill with friends. One thing about him is

that he also loves to travel. Travelling, in his

opinion, is a way to see how other places are like.

Travelling also allows him to take many photos, especially as a photographer. Coming as a mentor, he hopes to leave the Korea Daily Leadership Camp as a better leader and to also be a better public speaker. By being a better public speaker, he will be able to express his views more openly.

KAELYN PARK

Kaelyn Park is 13 years old. She lives in Los Angeles, California and will be attending Walter Reed Middle School as an eighth grader. Her hobbies include singing, playing soccer, and reading.

She also loves writing, which is one of the many

reasons she hopes to be a journalist when she grows

up. Her family includes her mom, dad, two younger

brothers, a dog named Zoe, and she loves them all

very much. She also loves traveling to new places,

learning new things, and going on adventures with

her friends and family. Throughout the years, she

has been lucky to have people always supporting her.

She can play the piano and the cello. Joining the Korea Daily leadership camp will help her become a better leader, which will eventually help her achieve her goal as a journalist.

CONNIE LEE

Connie Lee is a 13 years old Korean-American. She will be going into the eighth grade at Bert Lynn Middle School,

but she will also be taking high school courses.

She enjoys playing the piano, drawing, watching

Korean TV, hanging with friends and family, and

traveling. She also has a cute, loving cat and a

wonderful family at home. Other activities she

has done in the past are sports like ice-skating

and skiing. As for leadership and speech

experiences, she recently took part in a program hosted by the YMCA called MUN, or Model United Nations. In this program, she and her friends became delegates to a specific country and represented their stance on specific issues worldwide. They also had the experience of debating against other countries depending the variance of opinions.

JOSEPH KIM

Joseph Kim is in the 9th grade. He loves to play basketball and write. He came to this camp because he wanted to become a leader. He believes that a leader is someone that is well spoken,

loyal, determined, and trusts his/her followers. He also

likes to buy shoes and a lot of clothes. He is an only

child and he loves being the only child because he gets

to be alone a lot. He likes to eat food and his favorite is

pizza. Pizza is the best because it is cheesy. He likes

cheesy but not cheesy jokes because those are lame.

He likes to make jokes, while trying to keep them

appropriate. He likes to make new friends everywhere

he goes because he likes to be around new people.

Although he gets nervous sometimes, he ends up to be close to certain people. For example, he made a lot of new friends at this camp. He likes a challenge and he challenges himself every single day. It doesn't matter what it is because he feels like he needs to finish the challenge; that's just him.
